Today, the sun shone and my Cannon EOS was etching to be used.
I love snapping holidays/new places/ friends good times etc. but I have veen less disposed to snapping such a familiar place as my local village!
So on this glorious day I did so, and i entered the world of Rotherfield Antique shops. Despite my parents living in this village for around ten years I have never ventured into Rotherfield’s antique stores. Quite bizarre considering my love for vintage fashions, histories and charity shops. Anyhows, this aside i ventured in…
The Truth: It was a little pungent, a little crammed and the owner was a little a bit rude. He clearly, lacked care for his business whilst sitting at his desk in the corner he had claimed he was at a meeting (to the telephone caller) and he was quite rude to other potential clients enquiring about his goods.
Thanks to the ”clicking” of my EOS I felt it necessary to engage in conversation, as it felt a little awkward taking photos without explanation. Anxieties aside, we spoke - the antiques has been purchased from that of the deceased, and left me feeling a little cold. The pungent smell got a little more pungent I slowly hustled out of the store mid-sentence. It was a freaky, creepy and weird experience and I shall never enter the store again.
I am quite happy to remain blissfully ignorant and instead enjoy the early blooming spring of daisy’s and meadows. Give me fresh air.
